Each day I am thankful to still have a locally owned newspaper in my city.

The app works well on my iPhone 6s. I use it everyday. I’m a subscriber because local journalism is vital to democracy and the newsroom at the Seattle Times is full of real journalists doing honest work. While I take issue with the Times “small-government”, anti-tax editorial board, I have confidence in their reporters. Since the loss of the PI there is no more authoritative source for Seattle news than the Times.

Tough days for the newspaper industry.
  • Why no sports and business details?

I read the ST every day. But there are issues. 1. Font size is very small and cannot be changed by the reader. 2. Cannot find sports box scores, standings and business details such as stock prices. Also no comics or weather report. 3. Many articles are present over several days. Clear them out so that today’s news stands out.
  • Times Social Media BAD

I thought the Seattle Times would act responsibly as a wing of Social Media. Not the case. It is obvious that left wing ideologues want to deny free-speech to anyone who disagree with them. I found it good to discuss freely in the Times digital public forum. When I went negative on Islam and Homosexuality the Lefties went berserk (my emphasis) and banned me. I'm against the practice of homosexuality and I feel Islam should be banned because it teaches the hatred of Jews and killing the Infidel that's us, if we do not convert. They already murdered 3000 of our innocent people. The Lefties have decided that Donald Trump is not the President. What made our nation great is votes took precedence over bullets. Are bullets now the choice? Maynard Engeland

Essential reading in the greater Seattle area. But a very buggy outdated app. Still, happy to subscribe.
  • iPad version could be better

Homepage on iPad requires manual centering. Makes app feel unpolished.
  • No easy way to find the stories for one day

I wish there there was an option to easily page through all stories of that day.
  • Desperately Needs Search Function

I use this app a lot fairly often. I use it after I've read the paper and have an article I want to share. I'd give it a 5 if it had a search function. Barry McDon

The reader view is not available on the IPhone and now, even the regular HTML version won’t open. I’m getting nothing for $15/month
