  • BI should fire it’s app developer

    By a ferocious reader
How difficult is it to create an app with some text and video. This is the buggiest app I try (and often fail) to use. I feel bad for the writers who spend time writing articles that cannot be read because of the bad app design.
  • Does not work well with latest OS

    By iphonekyleoc
I’ve messaged their support team multiple times with no response. The app is still showing articles from weeks ago and doesn’t update much.
  • The new app is great!

    By PeterS2012
Love the new look and feel of the app!I’ve been trying to use this app for the past six years and like others have also mentioned, felt that it was clunky and would crash constantly. Finally, with the new app things seem to be running really smoothly (so far). I like the new layout and sections better as well. This just made this app so much more usable for me. Love it.
  • Awesome!

The white and black theme looks great on my iphone
  • New update is amazing

    By franklapitas
Feels like someone just handed me a glass of cold water. The images are so sharp the whole thing just pops. I didn’t even know they had paid content but I like that you get a free trial and most of the app is still free. Whatever they did with this update it looks modern and seems like a totally new app
  • Load times untenable

    By KUTX905
Not sure what happened to this app. Half the time the news roll doesn’t update. The other half of the time I click on a story and it tries to load but just sits there with the spinning wheel. Basically the app is unusable in its current state.
  • Mediocre App

    By na8264
Crashes all the time, articles don’t load, ads have a mind of their own and take over the functionality, a lot of the same articles over and over again
  • Unstable and slow

    By ssalantrie
The newer versions are very slow and unstable
  • The articles are great, the app is sub-par

    By CherryChimpanzee01
The main issue is that it keeps exiting out of whatever I’m reading when I change apps. This impedes my ability to analyze stories by doing additional searching outside the app and jumping back.
  • Best Terrible App

    By RL 333
The site is great, the content is valuable, but the app is awful and BI apparently will not fix it. As others have noted, the app constantly freezes, crashes, etc. But what is not mentioned is that BI's attempted fix is to let the app eat up all available memory on an iPhone. The app will just keep expanding in size to keep itself running until your phone's memory is full. Mine went to 28gb today! Then the only fix is to delete the app from your phone and start over. You'd think with all the success that BI has had, and their understanding of the importance of mobile, that they'd get this app fixed. But after years of waiting, there is still no sign... PS. As an update many months later, the app is still awful despite the site's terrific (for the most part) content. Every time there's an IOS upgrade, it crashes, freezes, etc, all over again. Much of the trouble stems from the app being so jammed with ads that you can barely read an article. Also you can't view any videos in posts unless you're on Twitter. All videos go through Twitter, so for those not interested in the Twitter hate screaming, no video content from BI. Once again, amazingly bad approach from a site that claims to understand and value mobile...
